Job Description
The Strategic Relationships Lead is responsible for:
•Setting the strategy for all associations related business development and relationship management activities pan-Tax Professionals segment.
•Executing associations related business development and relationship management activities pan-Tax Professional segment.
•Identify, evaluate, and build relationships - some contractual, some not - with people, groups, and associations that expose us to more firms across all Tax Professionals customer segments with the goal that this access/influence will broaden our reach and drive lead gen opportunities for our sales teams.
•Solidifying and deepen existing relationships with designated alliances and associations and expanding reach into state and local professional associations pan-Tax Professionals.
•Developing a program to maximize the impact of academic market related sales activities to increase preference of our portfolios with tax, audit, and accounting program graduates.
Core Responsibilities:
•Continually builds productive relationships with existing associations and keeps them engaged through sound relationship management; ensures they are engaging with association membership and demonstrating sound understanding of the needs of those clients/prospects.
•Analyzes marketplace opportunities and prioritizes activities to capitalize on those opportunities.
•Coordinates the collection and prioritization of feedback as well as the Company's response; handle escalated issues with potential impact to the broader client base to influence operations, customer proposition initiatives, and product development services.
•Ensures all members of the partnership team is promoting all Tax Professionals products and services portfolios at every opportunity and recommending creative and innovative strategies to keep the association membership engaged.
•Coordinates and helps foster communities of association members and actively seeks their feedback across underlying segments.
•Identifies and seeks to fill prime opportunities for Thomson Reuters leadership, key spokespeople, and other stakeholders to serve in speaking roles, thought leadership opportunities, and other profession events.
•Develops and publishes influential communications and presentations in support of business development.
•Communicate which existing relationship and/or commitments no longer warrant future participation.
•Oversees monthly reporting requirements to track and prove ROI by sub-segment.
•Owns and delivers associations summits and / or national webinars pan-Tax Professionals.
•Prospects and find new opportunities pan-Tax Professionals.
•Reports back potential new sales leads as well as any at risk situations.
•Co-owns and drives development of academic channel program.
•Works closely and in a coordinated fashion with the other Tax Professionals Strategic Relationship Lead(s) and ensures that our collective efforts across strategic relationship management activities are efficient and optimized.
•Collaborate with other divisions across Tax Professional.

•Entrepreneurial experience / 5+ years tax and accounting industry knowledge a plus.
•BA/BS is required.
•40%+ travel, position to be based in Ann Arbor, MI.
