Director, Supply Chain

Position Overview:
Oversight and coordination of all end to end business unit supply chain planning for the Diversified Products business unit.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
•Manages a team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management. Responsible for overall talent management and employee engagement; cultivates an environment of safety, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance; addresses employee relations issues
•Manages and directs all capacity, supply, and inventory decisions for BU while aligning with strategic business priorities
•Generates and manages to BU specific SC metrics ensuring that systems are in place to support
•Supports the growth pipeline for DP by ensuring best in class capabilities are in place for capacity management
•Executes forecasting improvements for BU. Provides thought leadership to support forecast accuracy
•Leads the DP planning processes to include short and long term capacity planning and supply strategies
•Develops and executes required supply chain responsiveness and agility to meet customer needs
•Oversee business unit demand and supply issues. Ensures systems, communications, and processes are in place to resolve short term issues and protect long term supply continuity
•Leads monthly planning cycle activities. Harmonizes a raw materials and production plans for BU. Communicates to operations, executive management and commercial team when critical decisions need to be made
•Recommends new capacity or other major supply projects
•Manages a planning team that oversees all customer and supply transitions. Ensures they deliver consistent, accurate results
•Develops and orchestrates system wide supply chain optimizations in the areas of revenue growth, cost, delivery, and working capital
•Leads collaborative efforts across internal partners to solve complex supply chain issues
•Implements supply chain innovations in the areas of collaboration, capable to promise, logistics, order fulfilment, and planning optimization
•Supports organic business growth by strong participation in business development process. Ensures that obstacles are managed to ensure best business success
•Supports integration activities resulting from acquisition
•Communicates supply position to key customers directly as required
•Stays informed of new Supply Chain technologies and customer needs with an eye towards generating increasing value and lower costs for the BU every year
•Manages Supply Chain for approximately 13 plants. Coordinates with Beverage BU where products where cross BU production is required
•Collaborates with key business and functional leaders
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
•Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree or Master's degree in engineering, supply chain or business preferred
•A minimum of ten (10) years of related work experience in a supply chain, operations, logistics, or manufacturing environment is required, including a minimum of five (5) years of people management / direct report experience is required
•Experience working with commercial organizations (i.e. sales and marketing) is preferred
•Experience with multi-site operations, strategic planning team / resource management, process design and implementation, planning systems and M&A integration preferred
•Knowledge of overall supply chain process with in depth experience in one or more of the following: Planning, Distribution, Manufacturing, Sourcing, or New Product Project Management is required
•Experience with ERP systems and processes (forecasting, NPI, planning, supply chain metrics) is required
•Strong communications skills required
•Travel 15-25%
