The company is currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer Supervisor.
The Project Engineer manages the controls development and delivery of airport baggage security systems. You will partner with the project manager, engineering staff and our customer to deliver a successful project. You will lead a team designing electrical device layouts, control panel drawings, wiring schematics, descriptions of operations, PLC programming, and graphical reporting systems.
Major Areas of Responsibility
•Serving as the direct manager for a group of controls engineers. Daily management in an administrative role.
•Executing projects from conception through client handover.
•Coordinating a team of controls engineers and detailers in cooperation with a mechanical engineering team and project management.
•Managing requirements, integration, and configuration changes throughout projects.
•Engaging team members by delegation of work both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis.
•Creatively solving problems to optimize resources, scheduling, and budget.
•Coaching team members on project execution and proposing technical solutions for complex problems.
•Overseeing system functionality and technical quality of automated applications.
•Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
Basic Knowledge
•Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of systems and services.
•Project Execution - Knowledge of project management life-cycle from requirements gathering through design and implementation.
•English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

•Customer sites are located throughout the country; the selected candidate for this role will need to travel for commissioning of control systems and on-site engineering tasks that cannot be accomplished from our office. On occasion off-shift work may be necessary to support commissioning efforts.
Education & Experience
•BSEE, E.T. or relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
•Seven (7) years of experience in industrial automation controls design and commissioning.
•Experience managing a project and related people resources.
•Scheduling and estimating experience.
•Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix).
•Experience within the material handling industry, preferred.
•Experience with material handling equipment, preferred.
•Baggage handling experience, preferred.
Demonstrated Physical Abilities as Follows:
Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
