Department Summary:
The Gas Compliance and Records team is responsible for compliance to PHMSA and MGSS regulations for all aspects of gas.We are liaisons for the MPSC for all gas inspections and incidents. We are responsible for interpreting code and working with outside organizations we influence the writing of new code.We work with public safety officials and the Miss Dig program to ensure public safety. We are responsible for gas records governance through the development of our GTIE project in coordination with ProjectWise and MSEA (MAOP Standardization Engineering Analysis). We are also responsible for maintaining the GIS and SIMS systems for the Gas Department.
Job Responsibilities:
The Gas Manual Manager will have a general knowledge of each manual's content. The Manager will insure the manual content meets regulatory requirements, that the procedures outlined can be adhered to in the field and are consistent across manuals and procedures.They will work closely with the owners of the individual procedures to assist with needed revisions ensuring the appropriate parties are included in changes. The manuals of focus will include: Gas Operations Manual, Gas Service Manual, Gas Operations Construction & Field Practices, Gas Distribution Engineering Manual, , Transmission & Storage Engineering Manual and Gas Emergency Resources.
Job Qualifications:
•A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program with 3 or more years of experience
•(OR) A Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical field with 5 years of experience.
•(OR) Associate's degree in a scientific/technical field with 10 years of experience in the specific field.
•(OR) Extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.

•PE License or advanced degree
Essential Functions

Attend internal and external meetings. Provide business analysis and support services in a legal and ethical manner. Regular attendance is expected.
