FCA Powertrain Controls department is seeking a Test Platform Integration Engineer on the Powertrain HIL and Virtual Development team to work on HIL advanced projects. The candidate must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise. The Engineer must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. In this position, he/she is expected to interface with various teams (ePT, PTEE, PT applications, EE) to drive implementation of various advanced projects on the HIL. The Engineer will be working with global teams for HIL development and HIL tools development. Other responsibilities include conducting benchmarks, evaluating new HIL technologies, interfacing with suppliers, working with teams on processes, methodologies, and tools.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
•Demonstrated technical problem solving
•Experience with automotive powertrain plant and controller modeling, simulation, development, testing, and validation
•Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
•Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
•Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power, AMESim and co-simulation tools
•Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
•Strong ability to work directly with individuals and groups
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•Self-starter who can work cross-functionally with other people
•Good understanding of the development of embedded software
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited University
•Thorough understanding of gasoline and diesel engines, electrified powertrain
•Flexibility – must be able to adapt to a changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
•Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
