Finance Senior Analyst - KPM Project
In this critical role with AlixPartners' Key Performance Metrics (KPM) team you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and ongoing management of KPMs in support of our global strategy. This role will play a key part in the overall governance of the KPM initiative as well as in other key processes within the global organization. After KPM project, incumbent would likely (re)join the finance or other similar team(s) in a role supporting the growth and development of the business
The Strategic Finance Senior Analyst is a full time role located in Southfield, MI, reporting to the KPM Project Manager (Strategic Finance Manager) and will be part of the Finance organization. Paid relocation is not available.Key Responsibilities:
•Support the development and execution of Project Management processes for the Manage development and execution of processes for reporting Key Performance Indicators, ensuring program milestones are on-time and within scope and Budget.
•Develop weekly status packages to communicate project-related information to the KPI leadership team and other related stakeholders.
•Obtain formal and informal input from key stakeholders on development of KPI's through identification, defining, and refinement of data sources and reporting - and provide direction related to the design of Performance Indicators related to achievement of our firm's strategic objectives.
•Organize weekly program meetings to update the full KPI team, support Steering Committee and sponsor update meetings including update materials, scheduling, etc.
•Track and analyze performance metrics, specifically related to the successful completion of short and long-term goals and take corrective actions to ensure on-time and on-Budget completion of critical objectives.
•Identify critical program risks and issues and work with appropriate owners to ensure appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed on a timely basis.
•Oversee teams of analysts conducting data validation and verification for KPI reporting to ensure data and data access integrity
•Support socialization of KPI's through discussions with stakeholders and user groups and ensure alignment on reporting.
•Additional duties necessary to support the project team as requested.Qualifications/Requirements:
•A Bachelor or Masters Degree; business, finance, operations management or a related field is strongly preferred.
•3 - 7 years accounting/finance and/or operations experience in a Consulting or similar professional services firm preferred, but not required.
•Be available and on-call after normal business hours to handle special/urgent situations.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact independently with and gain support of and alignment with diverse stakeholders.
•High energy business style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to work independently on complex assignments, deal with ambiguity, and have a proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines under pressure.
•Resourcefulness and creativity in identifying process improvements and finding ways to capture or extract data needed by others and present or modify it according to their requirements
•Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the business, over time, and find new ways to enhance the value brought to the organization
•Strong MS Office tools
•Must work full-time, and primarily out of the Southfield office. Prior project management experience, training, or relevant certification is preferred but not required
