The Powertrain Validation Project Chief is responsible for organizing and tracking the DVP for the Program (based off master DVP&R template), ensuring all test properties (HILs, bucks, vehicles, etc.) are developed and available on time, and scheduling test property usage by the rest of the validation team for on-time completion. Additionally, the Powertrain Project Chief is responsible for managing all Integration Points/Validation test loops, managing any change, revalidation, and regression testing, maintaining the DVP&R throughout the program and reporting the results. Establishing all Powertrain permutation/transmission engine combinations required to test, assisting with troubleshooting and root cause of issues, and ensuring issues are properly documented and managed is the Project Chief’s responsibility. Additionally, the Project Chief is the custodian of all vehicles under their responsibility for all of PT Software.
•Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
•Minimum 8 years of engineering design, development, validation, or vehicle launch experience
•Experienced with validation processes and best practices
•Previous leadership experience
•Knowledgeable of Powertrain systems
•Validation methodologies and processes
•Vehicle Program Timing at FCA
•Knowledgeable of FCA Powertrain applications would be beneficial
•Strong Leadership skills
•Strong problem-solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Must be fluent in both written and spoken engineering technical English language
•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
•Experience in both electrical and powertrain systems
•Advanced degree (MS preferred)
•Reactive Black Belt certified
