The Software Developer/Administrator designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components. Supports and/or installs software applications and components. Works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of process flow.
•Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Delphi, Visual Studio, SQL Server, HTML, and C#.NET.
•Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications.
•Create and deliver data-driven reports.
•Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
•Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
•Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.
•Create technical specifications and test plans.
•Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
•Consult closely with management and staff members related to projects and tasks.
•Consult with colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems.
•Implement new software.
•Software development skills principally experienced in Delphi (Pascal) and Microsoft (MS) technologies.
•Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Associates Degree with 2 years IT Software Developer related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years IT Software Developer experience.
•2 years' IT Software Developer experience. Technical knowledge usually acquired from an educational institution and through work experience.
Software development skills principally experienced in Microsoft (MS) technologies. Other software development technology experience a plus.
Delphi Development experience
Microsoft Visual Studio / C#.NET Development experience
SQL / Microsoft Technology experience:
MS SQL Server Database programming (create stored procedure / views/functions)
MS SQL Server Reporting Services (Report writing and Deployment)
MS SQL Integration Services – Create Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) packages / programs
Work Environment: The work is performed primarily in office with some in plant.
