Warehouse Manager
REPORTS TO: Materials and Production Inventory Control Manager
SUMMARY:
Warehouse Manager oversees all daily operations of the Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control as well as oversees coordination with other Genesis warehouses and 3rd party warehouses. This role will work closely with the company’s senior management to discover and implement opportunities for productivity improvements and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and direct warehouse operations and personnel, including: Shipping, Receiving, Order Processing, Packing, Product Put-Away and Returns
- Interface with production and demand planning to evaluate growth and distribution needs to support customer service levels. Assess and provide guidance on continuous materials flow and inventory levels
- Ensure inventory accuracy meets or exceeds KPI’s and inventory processes and procedures are delivering optimal results achieving financial accuracy and smooth operations,
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory integrity by working closely with the Inventory Control Lead who operationally manages the cycle count program
- Meet and exceed established KPI’s standards for productivity, inventory management and Customer Service. Establish and maintain performance reporting.
- Lead, train and develop warehouse associates to set up and enable inbound and outbound operations that provide unparalleled customer service
- Monitor completion of assignments through frequent walkthroughs of the warehouse to ensure compliance with standards and instructions.
- Develop processes to address sub-standard areas of performance to drive continuous improvement of performance
- Monitor and manage freight claims and error rates
- Ensure warehouse operation is clean, safe, secure and efficient
- Analyze delivery and inventory issues and provide solutions.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
- Oversees all shipping and order fulfillment
- Review warehouse utilization and recommend ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage operational and freight expenses within approved guidelines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4-7 years’ experience in warehouse management
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or related experience
- Strong business focus and demonstrated an ability to act in partnership with management team
- Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources
- Experienced in motivating associates by using constructive criticism and positive reinforcement
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast pace environment and maintain composure
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Highly effective communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Working experience with ERP and WMS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
