Department Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Internship Program is geared toward current college students who have a passion for Information Technology and an interest in Consumers Energy and the energy industry. The IT Internship Program at Consumers Energy has core principles of skill development, ability enhancement, and knowledge application - experience designed to be complimentary to traditional classroom instruction.
Job Description/Responsibilities
Current college students of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and development for information technology aspects of internal clients' business. This could include application/software development, networking, infrastructure and cyber security support, governance and compliance analysis, and more - all while helping clients effectively and efficiently utilize information technology resources.
In addition to working alongside full time employees carrying out the IT strategy for Consumers Energy, IT Interns will have the option to participate in a number of additional optional events within the program, including intern networking events, company tours, and the consistently top-ranked event, the Intern Challenge.

Requirements/Qualifications
Actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher is required.
MUST be a current student to be eligible for an Intern role.
