The incumbent of this position will provide the company with expertise in the areas of architecting, processing and performing application and system development while working closely with upper management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Analyzes, designs and coordinates the development of software systems.
•Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.
•Reads, understands, and utilizes all specification documents and technical references.
•Reviews and repairs legacy code.
•Develops new systems, analyzes current applications and processes, and make a recommendation which yields effective solutions.
•Participates in development of long range planning for new projects.
•Analyzes systems including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problematic applications.
•Provides recommendations to management concerning issues of programmer productivity and software development management.
•Participates in Sprint Planning Meetings and development of features for on and offshore resources.
•Tests new systems to ensure that logic and syntax are correct and that result are accurate.
•Assists lower-level developers with assignments.
•Documents system code and database changes consistently throughout the development process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in CIS, Computer Systems, Process management from a four-year college or university; 3 to 7+ years of development experience in a telecommunications environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Capable of quickly comprehending complex legacy systems and making modifications to those systems while supporting daily business activities and ongoing new development. Able to identify tasks which require automation and automate them. Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports.
•Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases, experienced in TSql and PL/Sql.
•Must have advanced Object-Oriented Programming experience utilizing Visual Studio.
•Experience with VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, XML and JSON.
•Knowledge and understanding of Windows Services/Web Services/Micro Services.
•Exposed to Agile methodologies, Project Management, Product Owner and Scrum Master.
•Identity Management (ie OKTA), Team Foundation Server, Angular experience a significant plus.
•Experience implementing automated testing and unit tests a plus.
