CNC Lathe/Mill Programmer
AAM is seeking to fill the role of a CNC Lathe/Mill Programmer at our Detroit, MI location.
Responsibilities:
*Develop and create efficient CNC programs for CNC Mill machines
*Create setup sheets and work instructions
*Use company ERP system Plex to create bill of materials and process routings
*Approval of CNC programs, revisions and documentation
*Provide technical support to CNC Mill operators
*Determine optimal processing method to manufacture prototype components
* Must be willing to travel a minimum of 10% with launch years possibly exceeding 20%
Qualifications:
*MasterCam 3 axis programming
*Create 3D models from blueprints using MasterCam or Siemens NX
*Understand and interpret blueprint part drawings and general GDT
*Problem solving in a manufacturing environment
*Must be a team player and have the ability to work in a cross functional environment
*Minimum of 3 years' experience programming CNC Mill equipment
*Manufacturing in a prototype or job shop environment
*Cutting tools and calculating proper feeds, speeds and depth of cut
*Fixture design for part work holding
*Siemens Unigraphics NX to open part models and drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
*Engineering degree preferred but related work experience will be considered
