Tax Analyst
Member of the global tax team responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state and local income tax returns and estimated payment calculations. Assist Tax Leader and Tax Manager with special projects and assignments as well as with tax provision year-end work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Interact with the corporate accounting group as well as other US business groups within the company to gather data needed to prepare domestic federal and state returns.
•Calculation of book to tax differences and Schedule M-1's.
•Review of current year asset capitalization and calculation of tax depreciation.
•Preparation of various state income and franchise tax returns, supporting schedules, apportionments and process payments.
•Calculation of quarterly property tax accruals and annual property tax returns for U.S. locations.
•Preparation of monthly and quarterly sales & use tax returns and process payments.
•Reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts.
•Assist with the preparation of responses to various tax audits and notices regarding federal and state tax matters.
•Assist with other projects as necessary.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.
•2-5 years related experience in corporate tax preferred.
•Tax return preparation experience and knowledge, preferably with One Source tax software.
•Experience and knowledge with account analysis and fixed assets.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Proficient in MS Word and particularly in Excel.
•General understanding and working knowledge of U.S. tax laws.
•Strong analytical and communication skills required.
•Interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
•Desire to develop experience level and knowledge in all areas of corporate taxation.
•Ability to meet internal and external deadlines.
•Detail oriented with good organization and documentation skills.
