The Interior Surface Feasibility Engineer for Hard Trim will be part of the Interior Engineering group located at FCA US Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Engineer will be responsible for engineering design, release, validation, launch, and continuous improvement for Interior systems at all phases of development.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university
•Five years of product development engineering experience
•Cockpit or Instrument Panel or Floor/Door/Overhead console experience
•Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
•Interior Systems experience
•Proficiency in engineering disciplines
•Formal training/experience in problem solving, quality and reliability
•Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt / Black Belt certification
•Reactive Problem solving Green Belt / Black Belt certification
•Demonstrated ability to meet very demanding functional and dimensional objectives while simultaneously achieving cost targets, and extremely aggressive timing deadlines
