Implementation of a Lean Operating System is a cornerstone of business strategy. Becoming a Lean Coach represents a challenging career enhancing opportunity. Lean Coach Candidates will have an in-depth understanding of lean, with evidence of application to develop the skills, knowledge, experience, and expertise of their business partners to achieve breakthrough level improvement in Safety, Quality Cost, Delivery and Morale. Lean Coaches train, facilitate, and coach activities with their business partners utilizing the CE Way Lean Operating system culture and processes. They will work with local and business unit leadership to develop and execute plans for integration of standard tools in their daily business, execution of projects, and coaching problem solving.
Job Description/Responsibilities
The Lean Coach will:
•Attend CE Lean Office training classes to achieve a high degree of knowledge and skills application in lean methodologies
•Provide assistance and be a resource to functional departments and business units in identifying, planning, implementing and sustaining continuous Improvement efforts
•Work with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of initiative
•Actively lead teams and provide individual contributions in problem solving efforts on selected projects to reduce waste, improve productivity, quality and customer satisfaction, etc.
*Provide management with status updates, feedback, and appropriate work plans
*Lead, engage and assist with business plan deployment, to prioritize continuous improvement initiatives
*Facilitate process mapping and process engineering work with business units
*Ensure voice of the customer processes are designed into all business solutions
Requirements/Qualifications
•Bachelor degree in business or technical discipline
•Five (5) years or more work experience in a lean environment with exposure to a lean transformation
These skills will set you apart from the rest
•Lean Certification, Green Belt or Black Belt (a plus but not required)
•A strong background with evidence of application of lean tools (PDCA, workplace organization, Standard Work, Visual Management, Business Plan Deployment, Kaizen events, etc)
•Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility
•Experienced team leader with proven problem solving experience and process focus (value stream mapping, A3, cause and effect diagram, layered process assessment, five why analysis, etc)
•Strong leadership, facilitation, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
•Proven ability to influence and drive change
•Understanding of basic probability and statistics is preferred
•Experience with quality systems and voice of the customer processesOverview
