•What you will do
Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems and related building system products at customer sites. Help to train or mentor others on the installation team. Execute projects on time and within allocated installation hours. Work with the project manager to resolve all discrepancies, and coordination problems that impair installation activities.
How you will do it
•Mustbe able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
•Readand interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specificationssoftware/systems, programs, schematics and operational productmanuals.
•Coordinatethe installation activities with all trades to optimize installationtime.
•Attendall required site meetings.
•Instructand train customers on functional operation of the equipment/system.
•Conductsimulations and answer questions.
•Exhibitexcellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with thedistrict staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
•Completeproject documentation in a timely manner.
•Adhereto all OSHA and Company safety policies and procedures.
•Participatein a scheduled On-call rotation.
•Performother duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What we look for
Required
•HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required.
•10or more years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems,including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Pagingsystems.
•Experiencein reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, andoperational/product manuals.
•Experiencewith hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer andcommissioning devices.
•Capableof performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment andtools up to 50-70 lbs.
•Ableto work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbingladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working withinducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
•Abilityto work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
•Overnighttravel may be required.
•Demonstratea high level of customer service.
•Abilityto lead & work well with team members.
•Abilityto adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures atall times.
•Strongorganizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
•Possessa valid driver's license, and acceptable driving record.
•Ableto pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
•Ableto obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State andLocal codes.
