About this Position
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Autonomous Driving Algorithm Engineer -Localization in our Troy, MI location.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Work with map suppliers to achieve a viable mapping solution for production oriented autonomous driving vehicles.
•Develop mapping and localization algorithm that uses complementary sensors such as GPS, LiDAR, camera, and IMU to achieve high localization accuracy and resilience in challenging applications.
•Tackle the challenge of autonomous drive through innovative software stacks that interface with all components of the automated driving vehicles
•Collaborate with the team of AD algorithm experts in localization, perception, motion planning and platform control
•Build new concepts and groundbreaking solutions that shape the future of mobility
•Data analysis to assess and correct performance deficiencies
•Optimization for real-time implementation.
•In-Vehicle testing and debugging
•Function demonstration to OEMs and customer requirement review & implementation
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics or Computer Science
•2+ years' experience with SLAM, sensor fusion, EKF/UKF, particle filter, visual odometry, data association, dynamic map updating, HD map, ADASIS
•2+ years of experience in C++
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)
•Strong knowledge of algorithm development in Simulink, Stateflow, and MATLAB scripting.
•Experience with mathematical modeling.
•Strong problem solving skills with ability to learn.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Flexible and creative thinking.
•Knowledge of production code generation using MATLAB Coder/Simulink embedded coder.
•Understanding of vehicle functional safety ISO26262.
•Results oriented, and previous demonstrated experience in product quality and innovation.
•Throughput and RAM usage estimate of algorithm code.
•Basic embedded system/software design knowledge.
