Position Summary:
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role can be in many exciting areas such as developing cloud environments for autonomous driverless cars or building analytics AI capabilities for Customer engagements or working on Robotic Process Automation for providing employee self-service.
Job Responsibilities examples:
•Work in the Cloud team in performing Harman Cloud activities.
•Write scripts (Python, javascript, Ansible or shell) to automate cloud activities. Create serverless functions using Java or Node.js or Python.
•Use data and data-tools to perform basic analytics in identifying customer data discrepancies and opportunities
•Build routines and train our ChatBOT - CINDE using Robotic Process Automation methods
•Create programs and routines to improve data quality as a part of the ERP migration programs
Basic Qualifications:
•Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophmore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
•Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
•Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
•Must provide proper work authorization
Desired Skills:
•Degree must be in a related area of work with (1 or many) courses in higher level Programming Languages (Java or Python or Javascript (node.js)), scripting languages (python, etc) Web-Database-Information-Systems or similar, Computer Networks.
•Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
•Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
•Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
•Must provide work availability from May 20, 2019- August 9, 2019 and be able to work 40 hours per week
