General Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership and strategy of CMS Energy Quality/Lean office. This role will work closely with senior leadership in driving the development, implementation and success of the CE Way throughout the Company.
The position requires excellent leadership and influencing skills. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills with proven results in a customer-oriented organization is critical.
The Executive Director Quality will:
•Developing and implementing the Quality/Lean system (CE Way) across CMS
•Leading and influencing leadership on implementation of Quality/Lean system-quality policies, procedures, processes, and standards
•Providing leadership to a team of quality professionals (12+)
•Leading effectively across a matrix organization to direct the deliver of value added projects, reduce rework, improve customer value and staisfaction, and reduce cost and improve productivity
•Directing and monitoring activities of the Quality/Lean organization and cross-functional organizations to ensure project(s) progress on schedule and within defined scope parameters
•Implementing, delivering and coaching Quality/Lean system tools such as business plan deployment, control plans, problem solving, root cause analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis
The Executive Director Quality Will have:
Educational Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or technical discipline
• 15 years or more of work experience in the field or in a related area. Two or more years of quality, lean operating systems or process improvement experience
