About this position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Satisfaction Engineer - metro Detroit area (no relocation offered)This position is a client facing position requiring onsite support at various customer locations in the Detroit area. Key customer facing position representing Aptiv products onsite with customers. Conduit between Aptiv and customer. Expectation is to assist with any customer concerns.Customers include Ford Dearborn, Chrysler Sterling Heights and Jefferson North vehicle manufacturing sites
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Be the Customers first contact in the area of quality
* Regular visits to customer assembly plants
* Management of customer complaints, starting with Parts shipment and tracking
* Maintain customer complaints in Aptiv Database for tracking
* Solving problems on-site at the customer's site
* Analysis of performance data and their evaluation in Cooperation with the customer
* Communication between the customer and Aptiv until the problem has been resolved
* Coordination of emergency activities such as Sorting actions, quarantine of defective parts
* Verification of failure modes for rejected products with analysis tester;
*Measurements and data acquisition as specified by Engineering (Data Logging, Traces, Measurements)
* Review of packaging, handling and the Installation of Aptiv material at customer site
* Participation in Component Assembly Process Manual Reviews
* Assistance with planning and implementation of quality assurance measures during the launch period of new products
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
* Bachelors' degree in Engineering
* 5 + years in a customer facing Automotive environment
* 5+ years' cross functional experience in the automotive environment
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
•Evidence of problem solving projects
•Bilingual - Spanish and English
•Experience in Assembly Plant test equipment
