General Purpose and Scope of Position:
Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Loader to assist in all aspects of fertilizer plant operations and safety. Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas. Must enjoy working with diverse customer base in a fast-paced setting.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•2 or more years of work experience in equipment operation
•Must be able to read and understand written procedures
•Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
•The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions
•The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud
•Ability to work at heights of up to 80 feet
Key Personal Attributes Include:
•Must be punctual and on time for work assignments
•Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
•Working knowledge of safety practices and procedures while making mechanical repairs
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
•Operate heavy machinery to load and unload bulk fertilizer products
•Receive and transfer bulk product deliveries by rail and truck
•Insure work areas are neat and orderly
•Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
•Able to work and contribute to a team approach/effort with a positive attitude and outlook
•Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessary
•All other duties as assigned
