Maintenance (Tech 1)
REPORTS TO:
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
SUMMARY:
Basic repair of tools and fixtures as required. Maintains machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs basic Preventive Maintenance on machines and equipment
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pneumatic pipe system.
Maintains building and facilities. Including drywall, paint, and basic repairs and improvements.
Operates cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Basic fabrication and repair of jigs, fixtures, and carts.
Monitor and report (to supervisor) all safety issues and near misses.
Interprets blueprints.
Measures, marks and scribes material for machining.
Sets up and operates bandsaw, grinder, drill, milling machine, router, upright drills, edge sander, mitre saw, lathe, and related woodworking equipment, to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to operate fork lifts and platform lifts where needed or required.
Must be able to work at heights up to 24’ when required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and analyze professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use basic geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
