PRIMARY PURPOSE
Efficient production performance that adheres to required company quality policies. The Shift leader uses his or her knowledge of the working properties of metals and his or her skill with machine tools to monitor the operations on the production line. During the machining process, he or she constantly monitors the readouts from the CNC control module, checking to see if any problems exist. If problems occur he or she tries to solve it. Moreover, the shift leader does minor modifications on the cutting program if applicable. Generally speaking, he or she is responsible that the production process follows the required standards concerning quality and quantity of the parts. Furthermore the shift leader manages, supervises and instructs the general production workers.
