Rassey Industries continues to be a leading producer of CNC-machined components for the automotive and transportation industry.
There's a lot going on here and we're looking for a solid crew for our next steps, our new business, and our continued success.
We are looking for some operators for CNC (computer numerical control) lathes, broaches, grinders, and other equipment in a fast-paced, but easy-going environment.
You must be punctual (on-time) and have reliable transportation.
These are some of the responsibilities of a CNC Machine Operator at Rassey Industries:
- Loading incoming parts and unloading finished parts from the machine.
- Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Use gaging and visual “attention to detail” to verify that parts were machine to the proper, documented specifications.
- Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required maching sequences.
- Immediately inform the Production Supervisor of any failure at the machine.
- Place the components in the appropriate containers and, if required, fill out an identification tag for the container.
- Operate computer-controlled machines perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic workpieces.
- Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
- Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
- Maintain machines and remove and replace broken or worn machine tools, using hand tools.
- Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and rags.
- Set up future jobs while machines are operating.
Other duties and expectations include:
Ensure housekeeping functions in work area are performed to maintain a safe and efficient work space.
Be aware of all significant impacts, actual or potential, of his/her work activities and the consequences of not following specified operating procedures.
Help maintain a culture of open communication, trust, continuous improvement and performance within the company.
Perform other related duties as deemed necessary or assigned by supervisor
Physical Demands:
- Ability to adjust work schedule to meet job requirements and production demands
- Ability to lift parts up to 40 Pounds
- Moderate physical effort required in performing normal job duties
10 hours a day, 6 days a week! (if you require a modified schedule, let us know up front)
Wage is commensurate of experience
