Summary:
Coordinates employment related needs within the Mary Free Bed system. Recruits high quality candidates to fill job openings, assists leaders with retention programs, conducts exit interviews and analysis of employee turnover.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Upon notice of a job opening, discusses recruiting plan with hiring manager. Works with hiring manager to determine best sources of advertising and designs effective marketing to meet high expectations of promoting the current job opportunity and attracting qualified candidates.
* Recruits for designated positions. Reads and reviews all applications/resumes. Contacts potential candidates by telephone and performs initial screen. Interviews best candidates and determines candidates interests and skills. Using knowledge of the hiring department/program and the candidates interests and skills to ensure the best match, sells candidates on the Mary Free Bed system, surrounding area, etc. Develops creative recruiting plans for hard-to-fill positions. Coordinates interviews and job offers with hiring managers, checks references, then extend job offer to candidates. Troubleshoots with candidates who decline initial offers. Determines where offer and candidates needs are not matched. Works with hiring manager and suggests alternatives. Completes background checks and appropriate new hire paperwork, including employee health documentation and onboarding.
* Recruits for all positions in a manner that ensures the applicant base is representative of the community. Continually look at recruiting efforts to ensure the applicant pool is equally representative of the available hiring pool, including gender, ethnicity, age, race, color, national origin, veteran, and other legally protected status.
* Review and monitor the interview process to ensure the most qualified candidates are being selected by the hiring manager
* Competent and experience utilizing computer systems: applicant tracking software, Excel, social media, Outlook, and other related recruitment resources.
* Some air travel required to attend job fairs and conferences.
