IMPORTANT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: External Callers, Internal Callers, Visitors, Vendors, Customer and Employees from all locations
DIRECTS: None
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Professionally welcome visitors, answer incoming phone calls, announce visitor’s presence, arrange for escort and assist the Human Resources team.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner and professionally route the caller to the right internal contact
Greet all visitors, register visitors, sign them in, assign visitors badges, announce their presence and arrange for their escort
Accept and singe for certified, registered and special delivery mail
Coordinate employee sponsored activities, company meetings and customer visit as needed
Coordinate conference room scheduling and conference calls as necessary
Perform various administrative, clerical and statistical assignments as related to Human Resources (including, but not limited to, checking references, assisting with orientation, maintaining EEO/AAP logs, tracking employee PTO hours and assisting the Human Resources team)
Manage internal announcements, Intranet and the various display boards throughout the facilities
Assist the commercial engineering staff with travel plans
Compile and prepare various reports and awards for Human Resources
Provide assistance with MRA surveys, U.S. Dept. of Labor Vets -100 report, etc.
Assist engineering with releases and maintain engineering administrative files
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
Microsoft Office Proficient
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in a Job Shop or Marine/Defense contract environment a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job often requires long hours of sitting/computer usage
