The Technical Project Manager manages the relationship with the business process owners helping the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) establish priorities and ICT alignment with the business. The Technical Project Manager provides direction and guidance to the business partners related to the challenges or changes in the business process. The role is an extension of the ICT organization, acting as liaison and bridging / facilitating communication and understanding between the business process alignment and ICT. Unique to this role is an evolving set of needs often times varying activities; it is important to be able to recognize and adapt to change quickly. Primary responsibilities for this position include understanding the overarching business model as well as the intricacies and challenges of the functional business area, managing the application portfolio within a specific business process area including enhancements and new projects. The Technical Project Manager will conduct business consulting / business cycle planning (projects) — including IT trends, new technology, aligning business / ICT strategies, etc. The Technical Project Manager will also establish and maintain relationships, direct projects towards desired technology, develop and maintain long range business strategic roadmap out 18-24 months, evaluate project objectives, and analyze new business initiatives. The Technical Project Manager will review business cases and portfolio plans. The selected candidate will attend Business Partner staff meetings, Department Project Review meetings, and manage IT needs. This position is in the Sales and Marketing organization of ICT, and will have responsibilities across the Customer Relationship Management team supporting the areas of US Brand Marketing, US Service Marketing and Canadian Marketing. The individual in this position will be expected to manage projects through initiation, requirements gathering, business value assessment, development, quality verification, and launch. This position will also need to properly manage business partner expectations as well as manage both onsite and co-located development resources. This position needs a desire to work with a variety of FCA businesses to bring innovation and efficiencies to how FCA communicates to the FCA customer base.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum 8 years of professional experience
•Minimum 5 years of professional Software Development Life Cycle experience
•Working experience in agile development methodologies
•Sound working experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or with G-Suite applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
•Familiarity with campaign management tools such as SalesForce or IBM Campaign Automation
•Familiarity with reporting tools such as Qlik Sense, Cognos, or Tableau
•Familiarity with basic direct marketing and digital marketing terms/concepts
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
•7+ years experience in managing complex projects
•Ability to foster and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and various IT departmental team members
•Ability to work well and productively, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
•Excellent people skills with good communication and relationship management skills
•Experience in project lifecycles from business case development through final delivery to operational support
•Experience in email and direct marketing deploy, delivery, and creative management processes
•Experience in marketing technology tools and processes
•Experience in email deployment IP address reputation management
•Having worked on cross-organizations teams, and being a contributing member of those teams
•Exhibit creative thinking while defining sound and practical solutions
•Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business processes
