We are currently looking for a Detailer to join our team in Big Rapids, MI.
As a Detailer, you will:
Create and revise engineering product engineering documentation to meet customer or project demand. You will create new Computer Aided Design (CAD) views, working from design layouts, sketches, marked prints, or CAD model, using ProE/Creo to support manufacturing product within Haworth’s plants and outside suppliers.
Do you have the following required qualifications?
- Associate’s degree in engineering technology, drafting, cad design, technical/technology studies, or 4 years (2 years for each year of education required) of experience in CAD detailing/drafting, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing experience in furniture product environment.
- Furniture product experience within manufacturing environment to ensure good understanding of assembly, machine processes, and finished product expectations to facilitate ability to assist manufacturing team members with manufacturing and assembly processes on piloted product preferred. This is required if no degree.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have the following preferred qualifications?
- Experience utilizing Advanced Manufacturing Accounting Production System (AMAPs) Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) or other MRP system such as SAP.
- Experience with prioritizing work based on customer (both internal and external) need and daily goals to ensure highest of customer satisfaction can be achieved.
- Experience with Haworth-specific manufacturing, engineering or CAD modeling processes.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and their importance to successful execution of designs.
- General understanding of ANSI drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT).
- CAD or drafting knowledge coming from course in high school or college.
- Multi-dimensional visualization abilities.
- Product understanding inclusive of assembly processes.
