We are currently looking for a Product Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Product Engineer, you will:
Design, develop and document new products and product line enhancements, as well as determine material, labor, and overhead costs. You will work with other engineers to determine best manufacturing processes for existing and new products and to ensure all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met by applying engineering principles under minimal supervision. You will also utilize your technical background to investigate or develop use of new materials, processes and/or concepts for Haworth.
Do you have the following required qualifications?
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or at least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have the following preferred qualifications?
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with Bills of Materials.
- Experience using Creo or similar 3D modeling software.
- Experience in a Mechanical Engineering role.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Demonstrated ability to creatively design, analyze, and document product designs on multiple projects.
- Design, development, and project management skills.
- Ability for innovative technical accomplishments, as demonstrated through prior design drawings, patent awards, technical publications, and market success.
- Must be knowledgeable of applicable global standards such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI) drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and Canadian Government Test Standard (CGSB).
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally.
