Description
This position provides daily oversight and transactional duties in GEM of the receipt, storage and use of our inventory. This position requires strong computer and Microsoft Office skills, high-level of attention to detail and the ability to train others in GEM functions. The individual assuming this role must be able to assess requests relating to inventory that are requested of him or her and complete the necessary transactions in GEM accurately and in a timely manner. Daily checks of transactions performed by others in GEM will also be a crucial function of the Inventory Analyst. These checks will allow the Inventory Analyst to make corrections to said transactions as needed to ensure accuracy in Gray and Company's financials. This position will interface with all levels of management and functional departments.
Essential Functions
•Be an in-house expert and trainer in the function and use of scanners and the GEM inventory management system.
•Insure that our inventory is properly reflected in GEM (quantities, lot codes, zone location etc.)
•Work with both the Production Planner and specific area supervisor/foremen on a daily basis to provide pick lists of fruit needing to be staged for use either later that day or the following day, to insure the timely use and rotation of raw fruit and WIP items.
•Work with production to ensure FIFO (first in, first out) is in practice
•Daily GEM/SAP Reconciliation Report - will work directly with the GEM/SAP Answer Team to maintain on a daily basis
•Execute Daily Row Verifications and complete daily row verifications spreadsheet to track number of zones checked per day
•Monitor all zones in this plant along with offsite storage warehouses of fruit and supplies for accuracy and count. The expectation is that the entire facility will be cycle counted at least quarterly. This position is responsible for identifying and working to resolve any discrepancies found during these cycle counts.
•Maintain a clean and minimal 490MIA zone
•To produce and maintain reports showing the accuracy of our scans, various inventory categories, and aged inventory whether brine fruit, packaging, ingredients, supplies, or finished goods.
•Primary Production Clerk Backup
•Assist with Physical Inventory
•Assist Customer Service with Customer Returns
•Reprint tags for floor personal when requested
•Maintain and perform all necessary transactions for 'Misc. Supply Scrap Logs" turned into the Production Office
•Other tasks as assigned
