The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is responsible for all revenue generating processes within BullsEye. The CRO is responsible for defining and maintaining the revenue strategy, architecting and integrating the revenue system, and designing and launching revenue programs. He/She is accountable for driving better integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions, including marketing, sales, customer support, pricing, and revenue management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Generates revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
Creates a standardized outreach for current and future clients and coordinates its implementation across sales channels, client management, and marketing and communications.
Develops growth strategies with the executive team and board of directors while also transforming the sales mx from being weighted toward Channel/Partner Sales to being weighted toward Direct Sales. Defines a sustainable and predictable revenue architecture that continuously aligns with the business architecture. Demonstrates the ability to execute those strategies.
Creates accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions with these metrics.
Embraces market trends and disruption to achieve growth plans.
Demonstrates the ability to lead the organization through changes.
Monitors the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
Aligns with CEO’s vison and establishes both short-term results and long-term strategy. Implements predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales and marketing processes using data analytics, and manages consistent pipeline and forecasting methodology. Demonstrates the ability to execute those strategies.
Crafts the sales and marketing strategies and processes to maximize revenue potential from existing and prospective customers through acquisition to engagement to success. Demonstrates the ability to execute those strategies.
Fills management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales, Marketing and Client Retention Management.
Develops and implements robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, solution sales and proposals, including revenue forecasting. Optimizes day-to-day sales activities and drives engagement that optimizes revenue conversion performance.
Oversees all Channel/Partner Development -- adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners.
Develops brand positioning that articulates the solutions and product portfolio, corporate brand message and value differentiators to customers, peers, teams, prospects, and partners. Communicates brand positioning and thought leadership to build awareness with customers, industry participants and influencers.
Drives a “lean startup” style environment of constant experimentation and learning.
Leverages Voice of Customer research (quantity and quality) to improve Net Promoter Score and Customer Experience results; provide strategic leadership for brand architecture/positioning.
Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Provides leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
Ability to travel to support company objectives and execution of initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES - Manages all reporting departments staff and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these subordinates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems and terminating where appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - BS in related field and at least 15 years’ experience in the Sales and Marketing arena, at least 10 years management and strategic experience in this field or MBA/MS in related filed with 10 years’ experience, 7 of which must be managerial and strategic.
