The Senior Buyer Raw Material- Aluminum buyer is responsible for managing all commercial, operational and strategic requirements for $243M of annual spend. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contract negotiations, maintenance of contract repository and all purchase order maintenance.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Develop annual budget, which includes productivity and economics
•Support finance and treasury in development of raw material corporate forecast
•Develop commodity strategy for NAFTA that aligns with the overall global strategy for the commodity
•Insure supplier compliance to all FCA requirements for quality, delivery and service

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university
•Minimum of 4.5 years of related professional experience in commercial negotiations, sales or supplier development
•Experience working with metallic suppliers either in a commercial or quality capacity
•Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
•Comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to effectively interface with cross functional teams and all levels of senior management
•Strong communication and commodity leadership skills
•Proficient using MS office programs and Google suite
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Business
•Experience in the automotive or steel industry and simultaneously managing multiple commodities
•Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically; raw material purchasing experience 5 years
•Direct interaction with raw material suppliers, either in a procurement or manufacturing capacity
