The NVH Test and Development Engineer is responsible for identifying issues through vehicle evaluation and data assessment. This individual will plan and conduct appropriate subjective and objective testing to establish issue root cause and develop feasible solutions. The Engineer will perform NVH data processing and analysis. He/she will work on vehicle, system, and component NVH in the areas of powertrain NVH, driveline NVH, wind noise, accessories NVH, and/or road noise and shake.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•One year of engineering experience
•Capable of performing duties with limited supervision
•Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels
•Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
•Strong planning and organizational skills
•Desire to learn and apply knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
•Hands-on automotive experience
•Three years of experience in NVH vehicle development
•Strong fundamentals of vehicle and component NVH
•Proficiency in utilizing test equipment and transducers with digital signal processing
•Demonstrated capability in effectively using data acquisition software (LMS Test.Lab and Head Acoustics Artemis)
•Root-cause analyses experience using transfer path analysis and modal analysis
