What you will do
Under general direction from the Director OEM Products NA, the OEM Application Engineer, will function as engineering resource and provide sales and technical leadership in the development and growth of our JCI solutions at our Refrigeration & HVAC OEM clients and prospects. You will be responsible for enhancing JCI's value proposition by providing solutions and product knowledge expertise to our OEM business. Primary responsibilities include understanding and assessing the customer's business objectives and determining technical solutions that support those objectives. In addition, you will serve as a primary resource for relationship development, communicating new product/service opportunities and developments, control applications, technical training, and account maintenance.
How you will do it
1.Support OEM sales of JCI products.
2.Define and develop new opportunities with OEMs.
3.Nurture and develop relationships with key executives and engineers within OEMs.
4.Understand the full range of JCI control products and services.
5.Become expert of JCI tools for programming refrigeration products.
6.Provide product training to OEMs.
7.Quote refrigeration and building control projects to OEMs.
8.Coordinate resolution of customer service issues with the service, product management, engineering and manufacturing.
9.Provide technical drawings upon request.
10.Provide feedback to the sales leadership and product management team regarding customer application of JCI products and requests for new products and/or features.
11.Keep abreast of industry developments and trends.
12.Integrate new subject matter into existing operations.
13.Manage assigned accounts utilizing Salesforce (OpenGlobe).
14.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What you will do it
Required
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
•Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis.
•Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills excellent presentation skills as well as presentation skills
•Minimum of 10 years of direct application engineering experience in the commercial refrigeration industry.
•Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration racks, condensers, cases, walk-in boxes and controls.
•Able to execute projects of higher project and contract complexity.
•Experience in dealing with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
•Significant levels of travel.
