Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Classification:Non-Exempt
General Description:The Production crew works as a team to ensure all sales orders are assembled and packed per schedule.
The Production team wears required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats as needed. The team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. The team uses care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged. The team works together to keep the Production area clean.
All Production team members are responsible for following documented procedures as well as ensuring productivity meets or exceeds established requirements.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:
Door Builder
•Performs complex tasks in the fields of sub assembly, layout, and hardware implementation.
•Reads and verifies paperwork for product accuracy.
•Verifies quality of material and finished product
•Interacts with fellow assembly members to ensure quantity requirements are met
•Uses light power tools to assemble doors according to strict specifications
•Performs housekeeping and preventative maintenance responsibilities as needed.
•Responsible for following documented procedures as well as producing and ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications.
Position Requirements
•Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
•Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
•Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
•Ability to read and understand work instructions and work orders in English
•Must be able to work flexible hours when required to meet customer demands
•Ability to work in team environment at a fast pace to ensure production goals are met
•Must have demonstrated excellent attendance
•Must be able to read blueprints & templates
•Must have strong math skills
•Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
•Must have basic computer knowledge
•Basic computer skills
•Previous assembly experience preferred
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and twist
•Willingness and ability to cross-train into all assembly positions
•Have reliable transportation
