Job Description
The Sr Manager/Manager, Finance partners with the Product & Enable Finance VP and Product, Product Strategy, Customer Success and Marketing leaders (Tax Professionals) to drive profitable growth, optimize return on capital, provide decision support, and help steer and execute the overall business strategy in these areas and also provides finance support of capital planning for the segment.
Accountabilities
•Business Partner for Product, Product Strategy, Customer Success and Marketing. Supports financial matters in these areas to drive profitable growth and optimize return on capital.
•Analyzes and helps to develop the overall Product and Enable (Tax) financial performance narrative, including actuals/ planning/ forecasting results
•Forecasts capital plan and investment performance. Identifies and analyzes capital requirements and coordinates with the business, Finance and other cross-functional teams to make resource allocation decisions by developing well articulated business cases
•Provides strategic decision support, including product profitability analysis, product simplification, and financial risk management
•Manages and develops Financial Analyst
Key deliverables
•Coordinate deliverables and presentation materials related to Strategic plan, Annual Plan, and periodic management reporting for Product and Enable areas
•Coordinate overall Capital Plan for Tax Professionals segment, including development of business cases
•Develop and implement robust metrics and measures
•Prepare materials for business reviews and business communication packages (e.g., townhalls, commercial meetings etc.) related to Product and Enable areas
•The role will play a key role in supporting the Product and Enable leaders with financial analysis and adhoc projects.
•Drive productivity for cross-enterprise Finance (e.g. leveraging shared services, Finance platforms, etc.)
Skills and Experience
•Education: College degree required and graduate degree or certification in business or finance (such as MBA or CPA) strongly preferred
•Experience: 6-8+ years of experience in a Finance role, with at least 1-2 years in a Finance leadership/ team management position. Ability to influence and work with peers within a highly matrixed environment. Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Hyperion, TROVE and SAP
•Critical experience includes: The position requires strong partnership skills to work with others across the organization to help influence management decisions; knowledge of core accounting principles and their application; experience thinking strategically; knowledge of core accounting principles and their application; experience thinking strategically and building business development plans.
