Position Summary:
This position is a software development intern within the Connected Car division.
Job Responsibilities:
The software development intern will be working with experienced senior and/or principal engineers, assisting in investigations, performing code reviews, creating release packages, updating products, performing experiments, documenting development along with using software development and business systems. Additional opportunities for PC application development could arise.
•Compile software for an embedded target processor
•Read and understand C code, structures, and functions
•Run unit tests on functions and modules
•Run integration tests on full applications
•Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
•Update design and test documents
Basic Qualifications:
•Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
•Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
•Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives
•Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Eligibility Requirements:
•Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
•Willingness to travel.
•Willingness to work in an office.
•Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, drug screen, and DMV background check.
•Must provide full work availability from May 2019 through August 2019 and be able to work 40 hours per week
•Highly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
