Primary Responsibilities
This is an entry level position which requires an Electrical Engineering degree. Duties may include checking manufacture's drawings, performing engineering calculations, designs, layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks, meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines as required. Typical design work would deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, and grounding. Depending on project size job may require supervision of designer and CAD operators. Projects include power, industrial and institutional facilities. Checking manufacture's drawings, performing engineering calculations, designs, layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a ABET accredited school
EIT or ability to obtain
Must be able to coordinate work with others have good communication analytical and organizational skills.
Attention to accuracy detail orientated self directed learning attention to meeting project schedules and budget are also required.
Proficiency in MS Office is also required.
Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
EIT
3.0 GPA
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
