Regional Security Manager - U.S.
AAM is seeking to fill the role of a Regional Security Manager at our Corporate HQ location in Detroit, MI. This position will be responsible for managing region-wide security responsibilities for access control, security systems, investigations, and all physical security programs.
Responsibilities:
•Oversight of all security functions at company facilities within a defined geographic region. This usually entails 12 to 40 company facilities, to include all owned and leased office space, plant and assembly facilities, warehouses, unoccupied land, parking lots and joint ventures.
•Management of Local Security Managers (LSMs) within the regional geographic territory.
•All of the same matters as the LSM at the sites where no LSM is assigned and where there are a limited number of contract guards or there are no guards.
•Physical security countermeasures: cameras, access control, alarms and alarm monitoring, including analysis of statistical information gathered through the physical security system (e.g. alarm reports). This responsibility includes designing the security system, oversight of the installation of, burn in and maintenance oversight of all security devices.
•Direct management of security officers (guards) at each facility. This management includes creation of guard posts and delineation of duties, uniform inspection, hiring-company-specific security training, discipline in conjunction with contract guarding company for company-specific infractions and overall monitoring performance of the guards.
•Security procedures for the facility in general and each guard post specifically.
•All aspects of visitor management.
•Investigations of and resolution of security incidents, which includes all potential and actual criminal matters, matters identified during patrol rounds and matters of an unusual or suspicious nature; ensures all incidents are clearly and properly documented.
•Liaison with local law enforcement.
•Coordination with Facilities, Human Resources, Procurement, and other departments as needed.
•Brief and advise senior facility managers on security matters. Act as an adjunct to the Emergency Response Team.
•Responsible for MSAs for guarding for the region, including identifying eligible companies, negotiating the contract, budgeting and payment of services.
•Responsible for the security of all international assignees.
•Responsible for oversight of the security monitoring centers within the geographic region and management of the center's manager.
•Responsible for review and application of corporate security policies within the geographic region; ensure that the application of policies meets the minimum regulation requirements and legal standards of the geographic area, including each individual country if there are more than one country in the assigned geographic region.
Requirements:
•Bachelors Degree
•10 years of security experience
•Specialized career experience in law enforcement, security or military police/intelligence
•Demonstrable experience in security systems, guarding services, investigations and executive protection.
