SUMMARY OF POSITION:
To cultivate executive-level, strategic relationships with Verge s existing clients in order to deliver value and help them resolve their business challenges through the use of Verge products and services.
The Account Executive is the point of contact for existing assigned Customers and is responsible for coordinating Verge resources as necessary to ensure client satisfaction and revenue growth. The Account Executive is accountable for value, strategy, and growth within a portfolio of clients and accomplishes those objectives in four major ways: relationship management, retention, lead generation/cross-sell activity, and financial management. The effectiveness of the Account Executive is measured through customer satisfaction, increased revenue from cross-sales activity, retention rates within the existing client base and the ability to obtain references, case studies, and testimonials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Relationship Management
* Establish and maintain long-lasting relationships with key executive leadership within defined account base and understand Customer s goals, objectives and strategic roadmap.
* Ensure that the key stakeholders within defined account base have derived significant value from Verge products and services.
* Orchestrate and bring to bear the proper Verge resources to meet client needs.
* Develop an account management strategy/account plan for each assigned client that includes ownership and management of the Governance process on a regular basis that includes participation of the customer s executive leadership team.
* Define an Optimization Plan as necessary with each client to evaluate optimal use of Verge products and services. Determine additional support requirements and/or consultation services to increase value derived from Verge solutions; this may include process recommendations focused on enhancements/improvements relating to the workflows impacted by Verge products and services.
Cross-sales/Renewals
* Meet or exceed targets for renewing existing Verge product/services contracts.
* Meet or exceed Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets for selling additional Verge products/services to existing client portfolio.
* Assess and recognize clients need for additional products/services. Provide information that may identify opportunities for improvement through use of our products/services.
* Responsible for cross-sell/lead generation activities within assigned accounts.
Implementation Management
* Maintain awareness of implementation schedules of products/services and work with Implementation Manager to anticipate and proactively address potential implementation issues with the organization s executive sponsor and leadership team as required.
* Lead executive orientation sessions regarding purchased solutions and responsibility to assist senior executives in developing improvement goals and strategies for the use of Verge products to maximize their return on investment (ROI).
Financial Management
* Use sound judgment to determine appropriate non-billable travel expenses associated with client visits.
