The FCA Powertrain Control department is seeking an experienced System Requirements Modeling and Development Engineer on the Powertrain EE Systems Requirements Engineering team to work on Propulsion System Project Center Features. The candidate must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise; the Engineer must be willing to work in fast-paced environment. In this position, he/she is expected to interface with various teams (ePT, PTEE, PT Applications, EE) to drive SySML Model diagramming and simulations for various advanced projects using Rhapsody. The Engineer will be working with global teams for System Requirement model development and Libraries along with developing the modeling process. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to system requirement model verification, interfacing with suppliers and working with teams on processes, methodologies and tools.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive System Engineering, Computer Engineering from an accredited university
•5 years of experience in the automotive industry
•Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as CanAlyzer/Canoe
•Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK/Rhapsody/No Magic
•Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills o Strong ability to work directly with individuals and groups
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•Self-starter who can work cross-functionally with other people
•Good understanding of the development of simulation models
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
•Thorough understanding of gasoline and diesel engines, electrified powertrain
•Flexibility – must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
•Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
