The Tax Analyst job responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Prepare and review US federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns for the purpose of complying with US tax laws
•US federal compliance: prepare pro-forma separate company federal income tax returns
•Assist with the consolidation process of subsidiaries and income tax allocation analysis for members in the US federal income tax return
•Prepare and review selected complex book to tax adjustments for US federal consolidated corporation income tax return
•Support the income tax accounting group on deferred items where applicable
•State and local compliance: prepare complex separate and combined company state and local income/franchise tax returns
•Provide Support and assist in state direct and indirect tax audit activities, including meeting with auditors and answering information requests
•Perform detail review of complex separate and combined company state and local income/franchise tax returns
•Support the income tax accounting group on deferred items and state tax forecasts where applicable
•Calculate and prepare forecasts and estimated tax payments for various states
•Prepare state apportionment for parent company and related US subsidiaries
•Support and substantiate requirements necessary to comply with state tax credit agreements
•Assist with sales and use and property tax compliance as needed
•Prepare presentations for upper management on settlements where applicable
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required
•Minimum of five years’ experience in income tax preparation, with an emphasis on corporate income tax, in either a Fortune 100 manufacturing company or a public accounting firm
•Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, especially excel and PowerPoint and/or Google Suite
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Taxation
•CPA designation
