The Warranty Systems Group Manager is responsible for leading the Warranty Systems Specialists team that support all dealer-facing and corporate warranty applications. The team leads all new system development projects as well as managing incoming trouble tickets and logging issues that need resolution. The team also participates in frequent warranty audits and helps ensure SOX compliance for the full suite of FCA US LLC warranty systems. The candidate will lead the team that interacts with the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) group on a regular basis, using project management and communications skills to create clear and concise business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for understanding new warranty business objectives then designing and developing the most effective systems solution utilizing existing functions and applications. Objectives will be accomplished by new systems development or in some cases repurposing existing functionality to accomplish departmental goals. The candidate must also interact with FCA colleagues in other regions to support the current web services interfaces between two major warranty systems and will eventually help the corporation converge with the development of a single common warranty system for all FCA regions worldwide.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum of 5 years of experience working in warranty, customer care, sales, quality or operations in an automotive service or large-scale computer systems environment
•Project management experience
•Strong problem resolution experience
•Demonstrated experience leading projects and/or teams
•Experience working with and ability to capture business requirement documentation
•Understanding of the ICT development process
•Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects at a time
•Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Automotive Technology
•Master’s degree
•Experience with warranty applications
•Understanding of dealership service processes
•Experience with data analytics, data mining and predictive analytics
•Ability to develop and present strategic and tactical plans to senior management and large groups of stakeholders, including dealers, business centers, and media
