Reports directly to the Assistant Professor/Director for the Professional Tennis Management Program. Provide administrative support to the Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Program Director within the College of Business in routine, administrative matters; support PTM courses and player development; assist student leaders of the Professional Tennis Management Student Association (PTMSA) and Club Tennis Team in organizing events; cultivate relationships with alumni, industry affiliations, and accreditation bodies; assist with internship procedures; maintain and support the development of PTM databases; communicate verbally and in writing with students, university personnel and external contacts; train and schedule student employees; maintain statistical data and progress reports; plan, research, and prepare reports as required; create and maintain program files; schedule and attend meetings; enter and maintain PTMG courses in Banner, register students for classes as needed; maintain internal account information, and process financial requests and expenses. Responsible for training and supervision of student employees. Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with University policies and applicable laws. Maintain confidentiality of designated information. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. 1-3 years administrative experience and recent supervisory responsibility. Experience as a teaching pro or coach at a commercial club, resort, municipality or country club. Must have a USPTA Professional certification or higher, and/or must upgrade to Elite Professional within 12 months of employment. Current USPTA or USTA membership.
