Primary Functions:
Manage the day to day shop floor production schedule, which includes: communication and execution of the master schedule, managing on-time starts, printing and progress posting of the travelers, system material picking and issuing to the stations (not physical delivery). Document and work through material issues, work with supervisor, team leads, and materials group to research shortage root causes. Update and maintain deviations logs daily. Provide engineering support with Vault, deviations, and deviation logs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Create and update bus unit book traveler's weekly
•Print all orders for upcoming week for bus traveler build book (sales order, single level BOM, detail part BOM, floorplan, advance change orders)
•Enter each bus unit in labor log
•Create unit tags for production board by six-week schedule
•Create mini scan sheets
•Create scan orders for sub-assembly operations (with mini barcodes) and ACC
•Create scan sheets for each traveler with printed bar code sheets
•Enter all bus units into scan tracker system weekly
•Post operations in real time
•Pick material to the line
•Manage on time starts
•Collect all material shortages throughout each day
•Insure and assist groups to follow the reporting process: part numbers; descriptions; documented
•Assist material supervisor and buyers in root cause analysis
•Update and keep current the online shortage report accurately
•Add all shortages to tags on production board daily
•Maintain Deviation Log online
•Check engineering system for approved ECNs and add floor travelers as needed
•Attend daily production meetings
•Accept special assignments and other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications/Training:
•Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
•Ability to effectively communicate information in one on one and small group settings to other employee's.
•Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
•Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record.
Experience:
•Computer skills; data entry, charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.
•SAP or similar ERP experience
•Change Management experience
•2 - 4 years manufacturing experience
