Job summary:
CAD Drafter performs a variety of design/drafting. Including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects and preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings for use when operating CNC equipment.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
•Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with the Engineering Team.
•Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation.
•Works with the Engineering Manager on guidelines for drawings which meet and exceed production requirements.
•Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.
Education / Experience
•Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field.
•Experience using Autocad 2D / 3D design software (required).
Qualifications
•Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventer
•Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
•Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
•Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
•Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
•Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
