Summary
Promote TRUMPF Laser Technology Center as the partner for laser technology. Finding and establishing a nationwide customer base. Training and supporting the sales organization of the TRUMPF Laser Technology Center in terms of TRUMPF Additive Manufacturing, and all related products and accessories. Communicate technical and commercial information to and from the customer and the TRUMPF Laser business unit.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
1.Product Management for Additive Manufacturing.
* Manage the TRUMPF TruPrint and Deposition Line product lines (i.e. Laser Metal Fusion & Laser Metal Deposition relevant products)
* Develop and implement product strategies and strategic goals in close cooperation with Industry Management, and with TAM country management and product management
* Identify target markets and key applications for the TruPrint and Deposition Line products
* Develop and/or adapt from German PMs all sales tools (e.g. presentations, operating costs, data sheets, price lists)
* Training of sales engineers and distributors
* Analyze competitors and communicate market information to management
* Coordinate with the different marketing departments at TAM and TUS concerning development of sales tools for the North American market
* Coordinate marketing & advertising in cooperation with the Marketing Department
* Define and coordinate symposiums with marketing (e.g. symposiums at TUSD, TUS, TMX or at strategic customer sites) in cooperation with Industry Management
* Coordinate with marketing departments at TAM and TUS concerning development of sales tools for the North American market
* Write technical publications for magazines and conference proceedings
* Give product/application presentations for customers or for other specific audiences (conferences, trade shows, special events, etc.)
* Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process for the TruPrint and Deposition Line products
* Active sales support for the TruPrint and Deposition Line products
* Lead special solutions process for all non-standard products
* Provide feedback to Product Management in Germany for existing, and product requirements for new TruPrint and Deposition Line development for the North American market
* Define product list prices based on market value, product cost and strategic pricing
* Coordinate sales negotiations with customers (price, terms, etc.) via sales, management and/or TAM
* Manage customer projects as required. Take point on projects, organize internal & customer project kick-off meetings, know status of all deliverables throughout the project, take ownership until order is fully executed (up to and including install & run-off if applicable). Travel if necessary (based on time and cost efficiency, as well as customer relationship considerations) for project meetings, and for on-site install and run-off oversight if applicable.
* Management and processing of customer orders, including order process documentation requirements, initiation & support of kick-off & routine project status meetings, customer visits, on-site run-off logistical support when necessary
* Work closely with TRUMPF Germany, contract administration, logistics, service and applications to insure project communication, timing and budget is optimized
* Confirm laser & workstation configurations with contract administration
2.Coordination and reporting to Management
* Ensure accurate and smooth flow of information between Country Management at TAM and TUSD
* Submit annual Business Plan for TruPrint and Deposition Line relevant products, containing:
