U.P. General Contracting seeks a highly-motived Project Manager to join their team in Marquette, MI! As a Project Manager, you will work through Lead Carpenters/Foreman to prepare, coordinate, and build kitchens, bathrooms, and more. The Project Manager reports directly to the CEO on new home construction and remodels and is eligible for continued personal development by attending seminars and training sessions. You will build a career with the company and support a family in the industry in the UP. Primary responsibilities include:
- Working with clients from the start to finish of projects to ensure understanding of project scope and vision
- Working through Lead Carpenters/Foreman on multiple projects who then oversee a crew of carpenters and general laborers of varying experience
- Creating project schedules and ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintaining an operational inventory of necessary tools, safety equipment, equipment, and vehicles for projects
- Ordering necessary materials
- Preparing project estimates, reports, and requisitions
- Managing budget
- Other duties as necessary
COMPENSATION UPGC puts great value in the Project Manager position by offering a starting salary of $40,000 to $60,000, depending on knowledge experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols
- Construction experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets
- Ability to perform physically demanding works (i.e. bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 lbs., etc.)
