APPLICATION AREA — PAYROLL & TIMEKEEPING
FCA has classified their payroll and timekeeping applications as MISSION CRITICAL. So while at first glance, “Payroll and Timekeeping” may sound a bit mundane, this classification is reserved for only our most important applications. Simply put, our payroll and timekeeping applications cannot fail, and if they do, it will seriously impact FCA’s ability to make cars and trucks. In addition to the criticality of these systems, they are also complex. The NAFTA FCA workforce consists of over 50,000 bargaining unit employees across multiple unions, each with unique contractual obligations that must be enforced systematically. In addition, these applications cannot operate in a vacuum and require a high level of integration with our HR, Savings, Pension, Health Care, and Financial systems. So if you are looking for a challenging, yet rewarding ICT area to work in, consider the Payroll and Timekeeping area, you will not be disappointed, but it not for the faint of heart!
