The Controls Technician will travel to customers to install, perform preventative maintenance, repair, train, program, and build measuring systems and automated air or contact systems.
• Install, service and maintain automated and manually operated air or contact measuring systems
• Train customers in the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and gage systems
• Logic programming and debug
• Troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
• Perform periodic calibrations on equipment in customer facilities
• Software programming for measurement needs
• Perform customer run-off requirements
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
• 3 – 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a customer support role
• Electronics, Controls, and PLC programming experience
• Siemens and ABB programming experience
• Able to read blueprints and schematics and knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T)
• Understanding of measuring and calibration systems and standards
• Air gagging, QDAS, and in process gagging experience a plus
• ERP/ SAP highly desirable
• Willing to travel throughout North America and occasionally overseas
• Flexibility to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays
